Bad Habits that damage your brain - NextWave Inspiration IND |
1. Not Sleeping Enough
Sleeping insufficiently is not a new problem for most people. The lack of sleep can be dangerous to your health, but it can also affect your daily life. It's important to get enough sleep to maintain proper mental function, physical and emotional well-being, and energy levels. Sleep is beneficial to overall health and wellness. Some people think that they need just four hours of sleep each night to function properly. But modern science has revealed that six hours is optimum. It helps regulate breathing, heart rate and metabolism.
2. Watching too much adult videos
Watching too much of adult videos regularly can lead to addiction, excessive feelings of shame and embarrassment. It is easy to get addicted when there is more than one form of media that offer you the same content. This can lead to negative consequences such as inappropriate behaviors, negative body image and low self-esteem. All of you who are watching these kinds of videos can stop them immediately.
3. Social Isolation
Social isolation is feeling alone or disconnected from other people, which can be a result of problems at work, personal problems, loss of someone close to you, or being around people who aren't supportive of your interests or ideals.
It's not just mental illness, but the lack of human contact can lead to physical illness. Being alone can affect your health and happiness in ways that you might not even realize - whether it's via depression, anxiety or something else, having less social contact can have detrimental effects on your physical and mental wellbeing. Many people go through a period of social isolation. It’s a common experience — and often, a painful one.
4. Excessive Screen Time
The more you use your phone and other devices, the more strain is placed on your eyes. Screen Time contributes to short sightedness in adults as well as childhood vision problems. For example, more than two hours of screen time per day increases the risk of certain eye diseases and decreases sleep quality for children and adolescents.
Too much screen time can cause eye strain, blurred vision, or headaches. It can also be bad for your body. Stressing your eyes can affect your sleep patterns, making you less efficient at work.
5. Consuming Negative News
I am talking about the negative, destructive news that you hear everywhere. Your news source, your friend who keeps posting on social media, even messages on your phone – all of these things are feeding you bad news.
If you swallow every negative news story that comes across your feed, then you’ll be a miserable person. Stop it.
Negative news is a waste of time and energy. Instead, focus on what you do have control over: the positive things in your life.
6. Not Moving Enough
How much better would it be to live in a comfortable, quiet environment? You can't just sit in your house all day. You need to get out and do some things outside. If you are not moving enough, you'll become stuck in your comfort zone where life is really nice but there's nothing new, exciting or challenging. Don't let this happen to you!
We live a world that makes us feel like we have to move, even when we really don’t have to. We are all comfortable in our own homes, it doesn’t have to be this way. It won’t take long before you realize there’s nothing to be scared of because you are not alone.
